Rise UP!

The first production Rise kites have arrived! It was straight down to the beach for the R&D team for final inspecition before shipping.

...thoughts from today's test session on the Rise...

The Rise is the kite that will define the SLE freestyle kite revolution.

A fun ride for any style rider, the Rise brings pro-level C- kite performance to the masses with the peace of mind of a bridal supported leading edge (SLE) which offers massive depower if things get sketchy. Whether chucking kite loops or handle passes, ride knowing your imagination is your only limitation.

RC Ridin'

Ocean Rodeo's wishing all the Crew a very happy Spring!

I just returned from a whirlwind 2 day trip to Golden BC for some amazing powder days. BC's interior has had some epic conditions this winter and I just needed to nail a couple days of fresh snow! Back on the coast now though and Spring is in the air.

With that the case it sure is good news that the new Surf suit is shipping in roughly 3 week's time, the Rise kites arrive here next week for first delivery world wide and along with the Rise kites come the new 2007 EZ Stopper upgrade kits as well. If you haven't ordered one yet get in touch with a dealer and upgrade your existing 2006 or 2007 bars to include the new EZ Stopper system, it is well worth the $30!

I hope all are well out there and gearing up for an amazing 2007 season, I can tell you all of us here at OR are stoked on the vibe that this Crew is generating!

Pyro Surf Suit's on Discovery TV!

Whoop Whoop! That was pretty darn quick! Apparently someone in Germany really likes our gear because they took the time to post to youtube the Daily Planet interview with Ocean Rodeo featuring the all new Pyro Surf suit!

I suppose credit should be given to Discovery Channel's Daily Planet. Please, if you see fit, write to them to thank them for the interview and interest in our company and Crew!

Surfing in the snow...

Pyro Surf Drysuit, originally uploaded by ocean rodeo.

I drew the short straw and ended up on camera duty today, while Erik and Ross made the most of a shifty (sh#*y) 10" NW swell. The crew was stoked to be toasty in the pyro surf dry as temp was holding at 0 C with driving snow for most of the day.
A few seconds after taking this shot I was picked off and rolled.....end result,....my camera housing was ripped away,...gone in the white water! (there goes 4 k !).
After a minute of panic, Erik recoverd the unit on the inside and paddled it back out by gripping the housing in his teeth,....THANKS ERIK!
Erik and I are heading out agian today chasing a cleaner swell.
