Very productive training session. Used the OR session harness and it help with kite control and body position. By placing my hands at the center of the bar I did not over control the kite and was able to complete many kite drills. Working on the relaunching un-assisted. Can't wait to get it out in some steady 20 knot winds to really get a solid feel.

Geez...forgot how high the 10m Rise can boost. On one jump I went up to the second floor as smooth as if I was in an elevator. Still undecided as to what kite quiver to change to. Prodigy or Razor or maybe one of each?

Thought there would be more waves than yesterday, but no luck. Took the trusty Mako for an all round session of freestyle and picking off the odd wave which wrapped around - though mostly they were uncomfortably close to the rocks and cliff, so had to let them go. Got some nice air and a proper spanking from a kite-loop gone wrong.

Not much in the way of waves, plus the dropping tide left not much room for everyone to play in. Thankfully, I got straight out back whilst others struggled in the lighter winds. As the wind picked up, people seemed to be packing down anyway, so got the 10m out for a good blast about.

Fun session, worked on set up, launch, landing and basic kite control. Had to move outside steering lines to full extension do to continued stalling when fully sheeted in. Still need to work on sheeting due to no trim on the trainer. I continued to back stall kite and had to sheet out multiple times inorder to keep kite flying. Got a good 100 meter down wind ride on the land board when wind picked up to approximate 20 kts and I was working the kite.

Started light, ended up being over-powered. Played on the inshore for a while picking off waist high waves, when I spotted big sets coming in right out back. Took a few aborted tacks before I got through to the outside - wouldn't have managed that on the surfboard, I'd have got chewed up and spat out. Picked off a couple of 1.5x overhead waves before I bottled it, as I had to keep looping the kite to keep power in it. Short lived runs, but a bit of a rush.

First one out on the water and had it to myself for 15 mins, bliss. Bigger waves than the previous evening and some nice but short down-the-line rides, though wind direction made it hard to stay on the wave with kite still in the air. Wind dropped later as the rain came.

Classic evening session, albeit a little light to start with. A few knee high waves to play in which were better as the tide pushed in. Messed about with different foot switching techniques. Nice evening.

Did five of my mock course laps. It is going to be a challenge on rougher water without a short strapped, long fin board, but starting to learn more about going fast down wind and trying to save the legs. Did a little twin tip session at the end as well.

Beaut day - Epic sesh! 15C, SW 28km/h +. http://tinyurl.com/cd57u39 Surface conditions we're fantastic (at the start). Rode out to well within 300m of Kinosoo Beach, entire ride was slush, skimming melt & throwing spray. By 6ish the bay pretty much flooded out with roughly 1" of slush/melt, other sections you'd punch through up to a foot of wet and became more frequent. I'll still guess there's several feet of ice but it's under all the heavy slush and water. Not gonna lie, by the end of the sesh I was soaked. Might have to resort to drysuit and kiteboard soon. I'll bring the auger out if there is a next time and do some drilling.

Can't believe it's been nearly 3 months since we were out on the local beach. So much for predominant winds! Good to finally get that first after work session of the year in too. Wind was a little variable in both strength and direction, but after a week of localised wind shadows, no-one was complaining. Nice waves, jumps and a glimpse of the sun too.
