S/2

Gear: 7m prodigy, 140 mako, 20m lines

Sweetest first hour in 30-35kts. Second session was carnage, massively high incoming tide, wind 30-40 and gusty and North easterly. Prodigy sustained a tear. Others fared far worse.

Fantastic afternoon with great wind and fun small waves. Helped to rescue a couple of newbies which required self landing the 8m twice in gusty conditions. The kite handled it all with no issues.

nice sunny day for mid January. I had my new Lobster 3mm neoprene gloves on and they were toasty warm. The biggest difference is that the gloves held water out. This is different from my old Whites diving gloves. No cold water flush. The wind was about 15M/s when I arrived. I started the session with the Rise 9M and the Mako Wide and ended on the 12M Core and Mako Skinny after my lunch break because the wind fell to about 10 M/s.

My mate was on his 5m and comfortable, me on the 7m (remind myself it's all about calculated risk) arghh, gotta get me a 5m for more days like this. Carving down the line was not only exhilarating but freakin scary. I just kept accelerating, It was like putting your foot an the accelerator in your car, knowing you had no brakes. Loved it though.
