After my 1st race today I have huge amounts of respect for Stefaans.
The starts are so hairy, and my legs were burning so hard tying to get to that upwind mark.
The downwind leg was crazy, Robin (owner of Urban Surf) almost expoded in front of me but saved it.
Watching Adam Koch out there just killing it in front of me was totally cool too.

Enjoy it your title dude, you earned it for sure!

Thanks guys, trophy is being engraved can’t wait to see it. Heard the Seattle racing just started. i saw Adam Koch in a race here in SF a month or 2 ago and yeah he is difenately going to be a contender. Wonder if Adam Vance is doing good up there.

I raced with both of them saturday.
I learned a lesson that day for sure.
You can train solo all you want on these boards and you are still going to get worked hard during a race.
The combination of nervousness and adrenilin while jockeying for position at the start really psyched me out.
When I was halfway to the upwind mark Koch was finishing and Vance was not far behind.
I hope the SYC runs another one of these soon, this was cool!

You have to be one fast dude with nerves of steel to do 3 of these in a day.
You are the man Stefaans!
