I am wondering what the differences would be between a 2010 Rise with a new bridle modification and a new 2011 Rise. Any OR staff want to comment on that? I have a 9M 2010 Rise and am considering a bridle upgrade.

not sure if you found your answer or not yet but i just started into the sport and i picked up a ‘11 Rise 10 and 15. Your more then welcome to check them out. I just live up in the Q’s.

i still would like an answer to the above question besides just minor tweaks.

I noticed a big difference during the self launch.
I can put a 2011 kite deep in the window and self launch and that extra pulley really lets the traction
bleed off so that you are safe from getting your arms yanked off.
You really notice it in high winds.

I think the modified bridle was the only change from ‘10 to ‘11 ... I kinda got duped into buying a 2009 Rise 12m, thinking it was a 2011 (my bad I didn’t ask the right questions, I just assumed) and I have 2011 freeride bars. Do you know if this bridle mod will fit and work on a 2009?

Not sure but I don’t think the bridle mod will fit, 2009>2010 came with 5>6 struts so the kite is constructed quite differently.
If it’s a 12m it will benefit from the huge depower of the 2011 bar in emergency releases, even without the rollover bridle.
