Can I use this kit for my 2010 bar with 2009 rise kites or 2010 rise kites without the rollover mod ?

I was going to try and answer this query but it has me confused and befuddled?

The SLE bar upgrade kit will work with all 2008, 2009 and 2010 bars. The bridle mod kit will only apply to 2010 kites.

You can therefore apply the bar mod to your 2010 bar but it is only designed to work with 2011 Razor and Rise kites or with 2010 Rise kites that have had the bridle mod. kit fitted.

I was inquiring if I get the roll over upgrade for my 10 bar can I use this bar with my 09 rise and 10 rise without the upgrade?

Yeah I suppose you could but wouldn’t that defeat the object without the bridle mod. at the kite? Perhaps someone more technical than me could chime in here?

Yes you can use a bar with greater throw (more depower) on older kites ... When you let go of your bar (with stopper not engaged) or punch out you will depower the kite more than previously ... This would be helpful in extreme gusts !!!

Anyone fitted this bridle mod to their 2010 Rise? How do you find it?

I’ve added this mod. to my 2010 7 & 9 rise kites ... I’ve only tried the 7: It is easier to self launch by: 1. easing out bar. 2. pulling on a steering line to position the kite 3. tugging on front lines ... I found I didn’t need a weight bag ...
