how can i check with a barometer the air pressure of my kite?
the inflation valve has an airstopper stripe..if i hold the valve so that the air comes out..would the barometer indicated the correct air pressure?
I guess you need either a nozle that goes far enough into the valve to keep it open or you have to pinch the valve a bit to open it and get a good read of the back pressure.
pump up the kite and flick the leading edge with your finger, if it goes ping…you are good to go!!!
that’s one thing, after the “ping” you bent the LE at the tips a bit, that should not be very easy
I got me a pump with one of them pressure gizmo’s and it started rusting on me within three sessions. I now know that I was doing it right all along and I don’t need another pressure gauge to know when I’m done pumping.
BTW I use the large nozzle and put it over the valve instead of having the pointy nozzle stretch out the valve. Pumps twice as easy too! You only need to clip the PVC strip that attaches to the plug. Old Naish trick.
