I’m not so sure about this, Zellamid is a range of engineering polymers according to their site. We have been testing many materials, even ceramics and well, everything wears. Stainless steel wears the nicest, I’m afraid any kind of plastic will be eaten by sand.
With the longer pieces of line being used ( http://www.oceanrodeo.com/products/freeride-bar ) wouldn’t it be easier to swap out a sacrificial plastic center rather than replace the line as often ? In the past I’ve made a similar piece & it kept my old bar going !!!
Ohw jl, bars/wear, tell me all about it.
Rest assured that we at Ocean Rodeo R&D are “not doing anything”, and are “kicking back relaxing and enjoying the surf”. Our fearless leader Richard isn’t allowing me to tell anything else.
I’m impressed with your quick responses ‘El Rudo’ , thanks. I know Richard is on it. I wasn’t sure if ‘zellamid’ was available on this side of the Atlantic for testing.
