Hello Everybody,

I am looking into getting some new winter gear to stay warm for snowkiting. Does anyone have some suggestions for winter jackets and or winter pants that work well for snowkiting?

Thanks for the input,
John Bais

I’ve simply used my normal snowboarding kit, and put the harness around the outside of the jacket.  In my case that’s a goretex shell jacket and whatever layers I require underneath.  Similar with the trousers.

John, Don’t underestimate good base layers too.  Something that will wick the moisture away from your body like a poly pro or merino will be worth their weight in gold.  Cheers,

-Wade.

Kite Panel for a normal ski Jacket.  If you have any sewing skills, easy to make your own.

Very cool. Thanks for the replies everyone. I will have try making one of those panels. I think with that and a good base layer and i should be set. Has anyone tried any of the new omni-heat base layers from Columbia? I’m curious to see if they work as good as Columbia claims.
