I have a Rise 12m 2010 and want to check and tune the bridle to correct length.
I’ve got a specification of the lenghts but it don’t match my kite.
One example is the E2 line. On my kite it’s 595mm between the inside of the knots but the specification says 610mm.
In my view a line shouldn’t shrink. Both sides are similar.
I’ve measured from the inside to inside of each knot as it says in the spec.
So my question is if the length of the E2 have been too short all the time?

I don’t have the line specs handy but does E2 by chance run thru a pulley?

That’s correct.

That’s what I figured.  Pre-stretched lines that run through pulleys will shrink over time…NOT lengthen.  This is what has happened to your E2 line.  I hope this helps,

Hi,
Yes it helps. I didn’t thought of it that way.
Thanks very much for your help and quick response!

Carl, if you are interested I have a 2010 12m Rise bridle mod kit.  This converts your 2010 bridle to the new Rollover bridle found on all the newer (last two years) kites.  This kit came from Ocean Rodeo,  I just never used it, and it includes the E2 line that you need.

PM me if you are interested.

I’d recommend that.  If you use an older bar you need to replace the trim line with the long one http://store.oceanrodeo.com/Replacement-Trim-Line_p_58.html  & adjust your lines so all 4 are equal (a kit may be available) to take advantage of the roll over bridle.
