i see they look like a great deal, just thinking about getting one for a lightwind kite. i did have one back in 03. nice, stable, and tons of low end power, but very slow turning. just wondering if the newer ones were any faster turning? or should i be considering the 14m? how much diff in the low end?
and was the bar about the same as the 03s?
I would rather recommend you a 14 and then use a bigger/wider board to get going in light winds, unless you are big (+90kg). As the good old Bronco isn’t the fastest kite around , though a nice counter balance to the Diablo, I think you will have more fun on the smaller one given a bigger board.
The bar continuously improved over the years and has now almost developed into an piece of art (great work OR!) Anyway, I have to pass on the specs but the 14 should do fine.
soo, broncos still a bit slow eh?
yeah, im right on that 90kg limit. :( my lightwind board is a 6’2” directional. just wonder if the 14m could get me going on those 10-12knot days?
I still fly the ‘05 Broncos and really enjoy using them. I agree with windjunkie if you are looking for a fast ‘C’ kite the diablos are really good.
I weigh about 70kg and can get out in lighter winds with my 16m Bronco on a smaller board(132cm) in winds around 10-13kts. However, the kite turns a little slower then the newer kites and if the winds picks up I find myself way overpowered being so light.
I would go for a 14m Bronco or if you got the cash a 16m Diablo.
Just my .02 cents
