Session Harness for 31" waist!

I’ve sat in front of my laptop for much of this evening pondering over numerous posts and revues on the above. Noone seems to have a bad word to say about the harness. I am seriously contemplating purchase. smile

:? Ok-So I’ve read ‘umpteen’ posts over recent months on sizing for it but still remain a little confused and befuddled as to what size would suit me over board shorts, wetsuit and drysuit :?:

It would appear that the sizing chart available on the website differs to that printed inside the harness which only serves to add to my confusion.

I’m not in the position of trying one for size at this moment in time and so would appreciate hearing from ‘Session’ harness owners   with a similar ‘skinny’ waist :!:

Good question. I have a 31” waist and have been wearing a medium Session for a while now. Works great. With that said, I think I could probably use a small size as well. I often need to cinch it pretty far when I’m only wearing boardshorts and the “warm water neoprene” shorts always have the straps cinched all the way on my bird-like legs. I don’t have a small to try out though. Hope this helps some.

Thanks Larry

Anybody else got any thoughts/experience over drysuit?

No thoughts mate, I am currently in the same situation and sbout to order mine, here is a quote from Mr Z earlier today this gives an idea of the differrence between using just boardshorts and a wetsuit etc.

“At 32” I would guess you should be looking at a Medium if you wear it over a wetsuit / drysuit all of the time (though it will be slightly large) or a Small if you want to cram into is a bit. I am a 34” waist (board shorts worn on my hips at 34”) and I wear a medium but could likely get away with a small if I had to.”

This would undoubtedly make you a small harness mate!

Hope this helps, I am verging on 32-33 but I may still get a small!

Hey Andy,

I am about a 32-33” waist and I have own a small Session harness. The small fits great, I am glad I didn’t get the medium.  I have been wearing it with a 3mm wetsuit and sometimes with boardshorts this summer.  I only use it as a waist harness I haven’t tried the legs straps yet, and I don’t have a problem with it riding up at all.

I also haven’t tried it with my OR drysuit yet as it hasn’t gotten cold enough here, but it should fit with no problems.

It is a great piece of gear, I would recommend the small based on your waist size.

Cheers Justin

Thanks for your responses guys…Justin why don’t try it on over your drysuit(when noone is looking) :?:  I’d be very interested to hear your comments on that set up.

That should give me and the rest of the crew the definitive answer :D

My waist is 31-32”.  I wear the Medium Session (without leg straps) over my Pyro.  Both with lots of layering and none at all.  I also wear it simply with boardshorts when the temps permit.

Finally, I wear it with my snow gear (on outside) for winter kiting.

Fantastic Harness- you will not be disappointed.

31” waist - size small, no question. Works for me with trunks, wetsuit or drysuit.

O.R. Session Harness-size small.

Just for the record my new Session harness arrived today. :D

I always knew that it was a quality piece of kit but just how superior it was to other harnesses I never appreciated until I got to examine it more closely in the comfort of my own home last night.

Hats off once again to this extraordinary company. I have no hesitation in recommending you to my friends down on the beach. Can’t wait to demo some of your boards and then i’ll be fully Ocean Rodeo’d up :!:

Looks like my first chance to use my new harness will be in Egypt from Friday onwards.  Keep up the good work!

Have a good time mate, remember, dont drink the water and also never underestimate the chafing effect boardshorts have on the chopper when in a hot climate and kiting all day!

Be warned.
