2009 Rise venturi
The 2009 Rise is the ultimate all around free ride kite. Perfect for beginner to Pro, the Rise delivers high performance over a huge wind range. 2009 refinements include reduced diameter tubes and struts for less drag and weight. The air foil shape has been enhanced providing increased windward performance and range. The geometry of the smaller sized kites ( 3m, 4m, 6m ) has been refined to improve ease of handling. Planform Construction gives the full size range of 2009 Rise kites a similar turning feel and speed. The Vented kite canopy allows air to flow cleanly through the vents if the kite is flown off the back lines, reducing the chance of stalling or back flying during powered and unhooked moves!

NON VENTED KITE
As you increase pressure on the trailing edge of the kite (sheeting in) turbulence is created on the trailing edge, ultimately stalling the kite. (Symptoms include back fling or loss of steering control, especially in light winds or while riding unhooked)
VENTED KITE
As you increase pressure on the trailing edged of the kite (sheeting in),the vents open on the trailing edge allowing clean air to flow from the underside of the kite to the top side trailing edge. This reduces turbulence and the chance of back flying or loss of steering while the kite is over sheeted. (Improves light wind performance and steering control when riding unhooked.)
